Hairless Cat: The Don Sphynx breed is different from the Sphynx breed

The difference between a Sphynx and a Don Sphynx lies in the type of genetic mutation, origin and also in the behavior and personality of these cats. While the Don Sphynx (also called Donskoy or “Russian hairless cat”) can lose its fur after birth due to a dominant genetic mutation, the Sphynx suffers from a recessive genetic mutation, meaning it is born naturally hairless.
