8 activities your dog will love

Animals send us a simple message that sometimes we notice and sometimes we don’t: life is simple and beautiful. Their behavior, unconditional love and devotion towards people make us look at them with admiration. We want the best for them and strive to offer them, as much as possible, a good life: quality food, a comfortable bed and regular visits to the vet.

One day, a puppy will appear in our life: whether it is adopted or purchased, we will begin a new life adventure with this being. We will experience responsibilities, moments of connection, friendship, joy and fun. A dog is a friend for life, offering unconditional devotion and love, but its roles don’t stop there. It can be the best travel companion, security guard or therapist. It is a source of energy and good mood.

Today’s urban life is full of responsibilities and to-do lists. We get lost in the tasks we need to solve and often ignore the friend who doesn’t speak. He tells us that a walk is not enough. He wants attention, play, communication. I’ve created this list of activities that will fill your dog with joy and help you relax and enjoy the moment with him.

  • A walk in the park and a tour of the city

Your dog’s need for exercise is natural and must be met. Life means movement and for an animal activity is part of its existence. The domestication of animals first and foremost involves the limitation of physical activity. In nature, animals run, smell food and play. We can offer your favorite animal a walk in a space as close as possible to its natural habitat, i.e. the park. A careful walk with the owner sprinkled with various movements will bring a lot of joy to the dog. On one of the days, plan a trip to explore the city. This will fuel the animal’s curiosity, desire for movement and exploration and will help you discover new buildings and interesting sights.

A visit to the vet’s office can turn into a day of pampering for your dog. It is possible to combine utility (e.g. going to the toilet) with exclusive treatment, e.g. an aromatherapy session, a gourmet meal or a massage. There are veterinary practices that offer a wide range of services dedicated to pets, and some of them are specifically designed to offer pets a superior relaxing experience.

  • A page dedicated to your dog on a social network: Facebook or Instagram

What could be more fun and enjoyable than revisiting memories with your dog? Vacations, trips, parties and family gatherings, his expressions of joy, funny sleeping positions or meaningful facial expressions – all these will always remind you of the blessing of being a part of your life. You will also have the opportunity to make friends with other animal lovers and you will be able to share all kinds of information.

  • Excursion in the mountains or at the seaside

The deep connection between animals and nature is something that we humans do not fully understand. In the mountains or at the seaside our dog will show a lot of happiness and will have a higher level of vitality. His needs for exploration and unhindered movement will be met. A trip to the seaside will give him the joy of swimming and a walk on the beach, while the mountains with their flora and fauna will be the right space for exploration. An outdoor picnic will be a benefit for both you and him.

It is known that animals have preferences in terms of toys and games, just like humans. This is why an outing in nature can be an excellent opportunity to entertain your dog. He will be more than happy to run free.

The dog becomes much more attentive when it comes to rewards. His involvement in the game will fuel his desire to explore with the help of smell, which will stimulate his natural abilities. You can encourage him to find them and every time he succeeds you need to praise him to gain self-confidence. As time goes by the game can become more complex. Tie will stimulate your creativity and imagination regarding the creation of this new path and will be happy to use his natural abilities such as smelling food for a specific purpose.

Dogs are receptive and very intelligent. Their learning ability allows them to constantly assimilate information. With the help of prolonged practice, the dog can acquire new skills and tricks. This may be an energy-consuming activity on your part, but the satisfaction will be measured. During this training process it is necessary to constantly request rewards that will mark each lesson learned. You can also train your dog to participate in an obstacle course. This will be a pleasant experience for both you and the animal and will be an opportunity to strengthen your bond with him.

Dogs are social animals who enjoy the company of their peers. Vacations and family reunions are excellent opportunities to meet members of your own kind. This gives the dog the opportunity to practice social skills and a great setting for group play.

There are many activities through which you can build a much deeper relationship with your favorite animal. Their intelligence, joy, curiosity and unconditional love fill our lives and teach us to live in communion with nature. We learn from animals that we don’t need much to be happy. The dog stimulates our creativity, imagination, teaches us that movement means life. All of these actually represent the coordinates of a harmonious and satisfying life.
