If he almost never leaves the house, you and your cat may think you don’t need a collar. However, never forget the exploratory nature of the cat, no matter how lazy it wants you to believe. If something catches her attention, the temptation will be too much for her and she will follow her “prey” to the end. You know the classic scenario where you’re chatting to a neighbor on the doorstep, you go out to take out the trash and the cat runs as fast as the feline version of Usain Bolt in front of your feet…

The released substance is not toxic to either cats or humans (although its consumption is probably not recommended).

But is it really important for a cat that rarely leaves the house/apartment? You may not even know the whole truth about your cat and how exciting his life outside the home is. Especially if you have a garden, it is very likely that your cat has an entire life that you are unaware of. Get a flea collar.

What if he doesn’t like the collar?

We know that cats have strong personalities and even if you know you are their owner, most of the time the roles are reversed. When it comes to putting a collar on him… wait. You may need to do some grooming work with the feline, try different strategies, be patient and tactful.
